[헤럴드경제=이태형 기자]국민연금공단과 국민연금나눔재단은 12일 한국장학재단에‘푸른등대 기부장학금’1억5000만원을 기부했다.

‘푸른등대 기부장학금’은 한국장학재단에서 기부자의 뜻을 반영해 저소득층 우수 학생을 지원하는 장학 사업이다.

장학금은 장학생 본인이 국민연금 수급자이거나 부모가 국민연금 수급자인 저소득 대학생 100명에게 1인당 150만원씩 지급할 예정이다.

이여규 연금공단 복지이사는 “공단은 2015년부터 현재까지 저소득 연금수급자 가정에 총 1612명에게 19억7000만원의 장학금을 후원했다”며 “앞으로도 미래 세대가 훌륭한 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지속해서 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
