조병규 우리은행장과 이석용 NH농협은행장이 오늘(19일) 최근 각 은행 지점에서 발생한 금융사고와 관련,세븐 홀덤내부통제 강화와 재발 방지를 약속했습니다.

조병규 행장은 오늘 오전 서울 중구 은행회관에서 열린 금융감독원장과 은행장들의 간담회에 참석하기에 앞서 기자들과 만나 "우리은행을 사랑해 주시는 고객분들과 국민 여러분께 걱정을 끼쳐드리게 돼 진심으로 죄송하게 생각한다"고 사과했습니다.

조 행장은 "강화된 내부통제 시스템으로 자체적으로 사고를 확인할 수 있었지만,세븐 홀덤그래도 원천적으로 막지 못한 데는 아직 조금 부족한 부분이 있었던 것으로 생각한다"고 말했습니다.

이어 "이번 사건에 대해 철저히 파악하고,세븐 홀덤부족한 부분을 개선해 재발을 방지하겠다"며 "모든 임직원에게 내부통제에 대한 실효성 있는 교육을 해 앞으로는 이런 일이 절대 발생하지 않도록 하겠다.내부통제를 더욱 강화하는 계기로 삼겠다"고 했습니다.

앞서 우리은행 경남 지역 한 지점에서 근무하던 직원 A 씨는 대출 신청서와 입금 관련 서류를 위조하는 수법으로 약 100억 원의 대출금을 빼돌린 혐의가 드러나 지난 13일 구속됐습니다.

이석용 행장도 간담회 직후 기자들에게 "내부통제 방안을 구체적으로 수립하고 있고,세븐 홀덤(금융사고) 근절 방안에 대해 계속 고민하고 있다"고 말했습니다.

이 행장은 "앞으로 그런 일이 발생하지 않도록 더 잘해야 한다"며 "조직 문화가 많이 바뀌어야 할 것 같다"고 덧붙였습니다.

농협은행에서는 지난 3월 한 지점 직원의 부동산 담보 대출 관련 배임 혐의가 적발됐습니다.

이후 내부 감사를 통해 지난달 비슷한 금융사고 2건이 추가로 드러나기도 했습니다.
