(서울=연합뉴스) 조승한 기자 = 정부가 방사성의약품 세계 시장 선점을 위한 '방사선바이오 성과 창출 지원 전략'을 마련해 발표할 계획이다.

과학기술정보통신부는 5일 방사성의약품 기업 및 유관기관과 간담회를 열어 이런 계획을 밝혔다.

방사선바이오는 방사선 기술과 생명과학을 결합해 과학연구와 의학,치료 등에 적용하는 분야다.

이중 방사성의약품은 진단 혹은 치료용 방사선을 방출하는 방사성동위원소와 이를 질병 부위로 옮기는 물질을 결합한 약품이다.

적은 약물을 투입하고도 높은 효과를 거둘 수 있어 암 치료 등에 이용이 기대되며 글로벌 제약회사들이 투자를 확대하고 있다고 과기정통부는 설명했다.

과기정통부는 간담회에서 지원 전략의 주요 방향으로 동위원소 자급 능력 확보,지금은 맞고 그때는 틀리다 청불신약 개발 지원,지금은 맞고 그때는 틀리다 청불생태계 체계화,제도 지원 등을 담을 예정이라고 설명하고 기업 의견을 들었다.
