경북 경주시가 무더위를 식혀 줄 물놀이장 4곳을 일제히 개장한다.

경주시는 시민들이 안전하고 즐거운 여름을 보낼 수 있도록 △화랑마을 문무야외수영장 △황성공원 물놀이장 △보문카라반파크 물놀이장 △토함산자연휴양림 물놀이장을 각각 운영한다.

화랑마을 문무야외수영장은 오는 9일부터 8월 25일까지 48일 간 문을 연다.운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지며,13시~14시에는 수질 정화 및 정비를 위해 입장 및 이용을 제한한다.

황성공원 물놀이장은 지난 3일 개장했다.올해는 8월 31일까지 52일 간 무료 운영한다.매주 월요일은 휴무다.

운영시간은 △10시 30분 ~ 12시 30분(1부) △13시 ~ 15시(2부) △15시 30분 ~ 17시(3부)이다.이용 대상은 유아(만 3세 이상)부터 초등학생 까지다.천군동 보문카라반파크 내 물놀이장은 8월 말까지 운영한다.

이곳은 높이 8m의 대형 나무 조형물을 갖춘 자이언트 트리 물놀이장으로 워터터널,워터드롭,야자수 버킷 등 다양한 시설물을 보유하고 있다.운영시간은 1부 10시 30분부터 오후 1시 30분,2부 오후 2시부터 5시까지이다.

토함산자연휴양림 물놀이장은 오는 15일 개장해 8월 24일까지 운영한다.

이곳 물놀이장은 수심이 0.5~1.2m로 비교적 얕아 미취학아동 및 어린이들이 즐길 수 있는 시설로 안전을 위해 성인 보호자 1인에 한해 동반 이용할 수 있다.객실 숙박객과 야영 데크 이용고객에 한해 무료로 이용할 수 있다.

주낙영 시장은 "운영기간 동안 방문객들의 안전한 휴식처가 되도록 안전 관리와 청결 유지 등 시설관리에 철저를 기하겠다"고 말했다.
