중국 당국이 증시가 약세를 벗어나지 못하자 공매도 단속을 중심으로 증시 안정화 대책을 잇달아 내놓고 있습니다.

로이터와 블룸버그통신 등 외신에 따르면 중국증권감독관리위원회(증감회)는 11일부터 신규 주식 대여(轉融券)를 당분간 중단한다고 전날 밝혔습니다.

주식 대여는 펀드와 상장사 대주주,슬롯 커뮤 njoy투자회사 등이 주식을 증권사 중개로 공매도하는 고객에 수수료를 받고 빌려주는 서비스입니다.

증감회는 또 오는 22일부터 공매도 증거금을 상향키로 했습니다.

이에 따라 투자자들이 공매도를 위해 예치해야 하는 증거금은 현재 주식 가치의 최소 80%에서 100%로 늘어납니다.

사모펀드 증거금률도 최소 100%에서 120%로 올라갑니다.

일정 조건을 입력해 컴퓨터가 자동으로 매매토록 하는 프로그램 매매에 대해서는 증권거래소들이 가급적 빨리 모니터링 표준을 시행토록 하고 비정상적 거래에 대한 '레드 라인'도 제시한다는 계획입니다.

고빈도 양적 매매(high-frequency quantitative transactions)에서 추가 트래픽에 대해 수수료를 부과하는 방안도 검토되고 있습니다.

이번 조치들은 중국 증시가 침체 늪에서 벗어나지 못하는 가운데 나왔습니다.

중국 본토 증시 대표 주가지수 CSI300 지수는 중국 경제에 대한 우려로 7주 연속 하락했습니다.

중국 당국은 지난해 8월부터 증시를 안정화한다며 공매도를 집중적으로 단속하고 있습니다.
