삼성전자가 국제올림픽위원회(IOC),세비야 fc 대 레알 마드리드 순위올림픽방송서비스(OBS)와 협력해 다음달 26일 진행되는 2024 파리 올림픽 개막식과 같은달 28일부터 시작되는 요트 경기 생중계에 갤럭시 S24 울트라를 지원한다고 18일 밝혔다.

파리 올림픽 개막식은 올림픽 사상 최초로 올림픽 주경기장 외부에서 진행된다.개막식 하이라이트인 선수단 입장이 파리 중심에 위치한 센강에서 펼쳐진다.각국 선수단이 탑승한 보트가 센강을 따라 약 6km 가량 퍼레이드를 펼치고 다양한 문화 유산과 명소들이 소개될 예정이다.

삼성전자는 퍼레이드에 참가하는 1만여 명의 선수단의 모습을 촬영할 수 있도록 갤럭시 S24 울트라를 지원한다.방송 중계 지원에는 총 200대 이상의 갤럭시 S24 울트라가 사용되며 촬영된 영상은 OBS를 통해 전세계 시청자들에게 생중계된다.

개막식에 이어 진행되는 요트 경기 중계에도 갤럭시 S24 울트라가 활용된다.참가 선수들의 요트에는 갤럭시 S24 울트라가 설치되고 촬영 영상은 바다 위에 설치된 기지국 보트를 통해 실시간으로 전송된다.

이번 기술 협업은 2024 파리 올림픽 로컬 공식 이동통신 파트너사 오렌지와 함께 한다.야외 환경에서 이뤄지는 무선 통신을 위해 센강 주변에 12개의 전용 5G 기지국이 설치된다.
