[파이낸셜뉴스] LS일렉트릭이 모건스탠리캐피털인터내셔널(MSCI) 한국지수 구성종목에 새로 편입된다.반면 SK아이이테크놀로지는 MSCI 지수에서 편출됐다.

13일 금융투자업계에 따르면 글로벌 주가지수 산출업체인 MSCI는 8월 정기 리뷰에서 한국 지수 구성종목을 조정했다.지수 구성종목 변경에 따른 리밸런싱은 오는 30일 이뤄지며 지수의 변경 유효 시작일은 9월 2일이다.

증권가에서는 LS일렉트릭의 지수 편입을 계기로 약 1485억원의 자금이 이 종목에 유입될 것으로 전망했다.다만 리밸런싱일 직후 편입 종목군은 단기 하락에 유의해야 한다는 조언이다.

MSCI 지수는 글로벌 투자의 벤치마크 역할을 한다.MSCI 한국지수에 편입되면 해당 지수를 추종하는 글로벌 패시브(지수 추종) 펀드 자금 유입이 기대돼 주가에 긍정적 영향을 준다.MSCI 지수를 리밸런싱하는 정기 리뷰는 매년 2,오마하 포커5,오마하 포커8,오마하 포커11월에 진행된다.즉 시가총액이 커진 종목은 새로 편입되고,오마하 포커시총이 줄어든 종목은 편출된다.

신한투자증권 노동길 연구원은 “MSCI 한국지수 신규 편입 종목은 LS일렉트릭,오마하 포커지수 편출 종목은 SK아이이테크놀로지”라며 “편입·편출 종목군은 외국인 수급 영향에 리뷰 발표일부터 리밸런싱 당일까지 상승 및 하락세가 나타나는 만큼 해당 기간 편·출입 종목군 간 롱-숏 전략이 유효하다”고 전했다.

이어 “지수 편입 종목군은 리밸런싱 60일 이전부터 평균적으로 주가 상승세가 이뤄진다”며 “현 시점에서 차기 정기변경 편입 가능성이 높은 종목은 현대로템,오마하 포커LIG넥스원”이라고 덧붙였다.
