이화학당과 김활란 전 이대 총장 유족 등으로부터 명예훼손 혐의로 고소된 더불어민주당 김준혁 의원은 일부 의도적 목적을 가진 고소로 의정활동을 방해하지 말라고 주장했습니다.

김 의원은 국회 기자회견에서,사장님 도박은 재미로대중을 상대로 김활란 친일 행적과 제자들을 성적으로 이용한 부분을 미화할 경우 김활란의 추가적 친일 행위를 국회 차원에서 강력하게 조사하겠다며 이같이 밝혔습니다.

이어 자신은 김활란이 친일파이며 제자들을 성 상납에 동원할 정도로 친일의 도가 넘었던 사람임을 강조했던 것뿐이라고 반박했습니다.

또 자신의 본의와 다르게 성 상납이라는 표현으로 상처를 입었을 많은 여성들과 이화여대 동문들에게 공개 사과도 여러 차례 했다고 덧붙였습니다.
