대학혁신지원사업 평가서‘교육혁신 성과’·‘자체 성과관리’항목 모두‘A등급’

경기대학교는‘대학혁신지원사업’지원금 96억5000만 원을 확보했다고 14일 밝혔다.

경기대는 교육부와 한국연구재단에서 진행하는‘대학혁신지원사업 Ⅰ유형(일반재정지원사업),프로야구 원년 창단팀2024년 성과평가’에서 교육혁신 성과 및 자체 성과관리 등 2개 항목 모두 A등급을 획득했다.

이에 따라 48억 원의 인센티브를 포함해 총 96억5000만 원의 지원금을 받게 됐다.

‘대학혁신지원사업’은 대학별 자율 혁신을 통한 체질 개선을 통해 양질의 대학 교육 및 미래 인재를 양성을 사업 목표로 교육부가 2022년부터 3개년에 걸쳐 추진하는 재정지원사업이다.

천국 117개 대학교가 참여 중인 가운데 경기대는‘미래 사회를 선도하는 창의적 인재 양성을 위한 혁신적 성공 기회(CHANCE+) 제공’을 혁신 사업 목표로 설정하고,프로야구 원년 창단팀자유전공학부 신설과 학생 전공 선택권 확대를 통한 대학 교육혁신 및 학생 지원체계 고도화 등을 핵심 사업으로 추진하고 있다.

이윤규 총장은 "이번 성과평가에서 2개 영역 모두 A등급을 획득한 것은 대학 교육의 미래 혁신을 준비하는 구성원의 단합된 노력의 결과"라며 "앞으로도 학생의 전공선택 자율권 확대 등 대학 교육혁신을 통해 학생과 사회가 원하는 교육체계로의 전환을 위해 대학 역량을 집중,프로야구 원년 창단팀경기도를 대표하는 명품대학으로의 도약을 이뤄내겠다"고 말했다.
