국민의힘 소속 부산시의원들은 18일 광역의원 총회를 개최하고 후반기 의장 후보 선출을 위한 경선을 열었다.

경선 결과 안 의장은 43표 중 26표를 획득했다.이어 박중묵 제1부의장이 16표를 받았으며,바카라 사이무효표가 1표였다.

3명이 후보로 나선 부의장 경선에는 이대석 의원과 이종환 의원이 각각 제1·2부의장 후보에 올랐다.

이대석 의원은 1차 투표에서 과반인 22표를 획득했다.이종환 의원은 안재권 의원과의 2차 투표에서 23표를 획득했다.

안 의장은 지방의원에게 수당을 고정적으로 주는‘지방의원 유급제’가 시작된 2006년 5월 이후 처음으로 연임을 하는 시의회 의장이 됐다.

과거 의장단 구성 선례를 보면 1~3대 전·후반기 의장이 모두 연임했다.1대 우병택(1991년 7월8일~1995년 6월30일),2대 도종이(1995년 7월10일~1998년 6월30일),바카라 사이3대 권영적(1998년 7월9일~2002년 6월30일) 의장이 임기를 마쳤다.

5선을 지낸 조길우 전 시의원은 2004년 17대 총선 출마를 위해 사퇴한 이영 전 의장 후임으로 선출돼 4대 전·후반기와 5대 전반기까지 3차례 연속으로 의장을 맡은 바 있다.제종모 전 의장은 5대 후반기와 6대 전반기 의장을 지낸 바 있다.

47명의 부산시의원 중 국민의힘 소속 의원이 43명인 만큼,국민의힘 의원총회에서 결정되는 의장 후보가 사실상 후반기 의장이 될 전망이다.

부산시의회는 오는 19일 '후반기 의장 등 선거 후보자 등록 공고'를 낼 예정이다.

이어 이달 28일까지 후보 등록을 받은 뒤 다음 달 1일 제322회 임시회를 열어 의원 총회에서 결정된 대로 의장단을 확정할 예정이다.
