(단양=뉴스1) 이대현 기자 = 충북 단양군 가곡면 고운골에 조성한 아평쉼뜰이 25일 만개한 보랏빛 버베나꽃 향기로 가득 찼다.

이곳은 가곡면새마을협의회가 4000㎡의 터에 1만 4000본의 버베나를 심어 정성껏 가꾼 꽃밭이다.

자연이 살아 숨 쉬는 영춘면과 어상천면 방문객과 패러글라이딩 이용객들이 지나다니는 길목에 있어 찾아오기 쉽다.포토존과 약간의 즐길 거리,프리미어리그 포지션넓은 주차 공간을 갖춰 방문객들이 보랏빛 향기를 한껏 사진에 담아낼 수 있는 휴식처로 안성맞춤이다.

군은 지난해 이곳에서 '가족·연인과 함께 보라색 바다를 만나다'를 주제로 사진 공모전을 열어 전국에 단양의 아름다움을 널리 알리기도 했다.

군 관계자는 "올해에도 사진 공모전을 개최한다"며 "많은 분이 가곡면 아평쉼뜰을 찾아 보랏빛 향기 속에서 행복한 시간 되시길 바란다"고 추천했다.
