해양수산부 대통령 업무보고에서 2022년부터 '독도'라는 단어를 찾아볼 수 없다는 지적이 제기됐다.

8일 국회 농림축산식품해양수산위원회 소속 더불어민주당 임미애 의원은 "윤석열 정부 들어 2022년 8월 '새 정부 해수부 업무보고'는 물론 그 이후 업무보고와 올해 민생토론회 발표 자료에서 독도 관련 언급이 전무하다"고 밝혔다.

임 의원이 해수부에서 제출받은 자료에 따르면 해수부는 이명박 정부 5년 동안 대통령 업무보고에서 '독도'를 28차례 언급했으며 박근혜 정부 시절에는 '독도'를 26차례 강조했다.

또 문재인 정부 시절인 2017년부터 2021년까지 매년 대통령 업무보고에 '독도'가 빠지지 않았으며 모두 39차례 언급됐다.

문재인 정부 첫 업무보고에선 '해양영토 수호'를 핵심 정책으로 다루며,"독도 등 해양영토를 둘러싼 주변국의 공세적 움직임이 계속되고"와 같은 표현과 함께 "해양영토 수호를 위한 해수부-해경 간 공조 확대" 등의 내용이 들어갔다.

이후 업무보고에서도 "독도 관리 강화",축구 월드컵 본선"독도 등 해양영토 관리 기반 강화",축구 월드컵 본선"확고한 해양영토 수호" 등의 내용이 지속적으로 강조됐다.

이명박 정부에서도 해수부의 대통령 업무보고에 "해양 영토의 체계적 관리,축구 월드컵 본선독도에 대한 영토주권을 확고히 수호"라는 문구가 들어갔다.

박근혜 정부 시절에는 "독도 영토주권 강화 지속 추진",축구 월드컵 본선"독도,축구 월드컵 본선동해(East Sea) 표기 국제홍보 강화" 등의 내용이 업부보고에 포함됐다.

임 의원은 윤석열 정부 들어선 해수부가 독도 관련 언급을 전혀 하지 않았다면서 "해양영토 주권 확립에 책임 있는 해수부가 윤 정부의 대일 굴종 외교 기조에 맞춰 독도 수호 의지를 포기한 것 아니냐"고 지적했다.

그러면서 "독도는 대한민국의 중요한 해양영토로,축구 월드컵 본선이를 지키기 위한 정부 의지가 업무보고를 통해 명확히 드러나야 한다"고 강조했다.
