스토브 테일즈런너 - 2024년 실시간 업데이트

경기도 시화호 인근에서 멸종위기 1급인 아기 흰꼬리수리가 KBS 카메라에 포착됐습니다.

국내에서 흰꼬리수리 번식이 관찰된 건 24년 만에 처음인데요,영상으로 함께 확인해보시죠.

송명희 기잡니다.

[리포트]

우거진 소나무 가지 사이로 까만 물체가 움직입니다.

날렵한 부리 하지만 서투른 날갯짓,스토브 테일즈런너'아기' 흰꼬리수리입니다.

[최종인/시화호지킴이 : "덩치는 크지만,스토브 테일즈런너어미처럼 활발하지 못하니까 계속 날갯짓을 하면서 이소할 준비를 하는 거죠."]

천연기념물이자 멸종위기 1급인 흰꼬리수리의 번식이 국내에서 관찰된 건 24년만입니다.

[김한규/경희대학교 생물학과 교수 : "신안군 흑산도 인근에서 번식한 것이 알려져 있었고,스토브 테일즈런너처음부터 새끼가 이렇게 잘 자라서 나가는 것이 기록된 건 우리나라에서 두 번째 새로운 (번식) 지역이 생긴 거라고 볼 수 있습니다."]

지난 4월 말 처음 관찰된 아기 수리는 50여 일 만에 성체에 가까운 크기로 자라 이제 옆 가지로 사뿐 옮겨 앉는 것도 가능해졌습니다.

[오한봉/시흥환경연대 대표 : "계속 앉아서 어미가 먹이 주는 걸 먹었어요.2주 전에 결국 일어서더라고요 얼마 안 있으면 이소하겠다."]

지난해 이곳에서 흰꼬리수리 한 쌍이 관찰돼 둥지도 틀었지만 번식에는 실패했습니다.

[최종인/시화호지킴이 : "알을 낳아야 하는데 까마귀하고 까치들이 계속 공격을 할 듯 간섭하니까 얘네들이 포기를 하고."]

올해는 사람들도 나서 흰꼬리수리 2세의 탄생과 성장을 응원했습니다.

곧 둥지를 떠나는 '아기' 흰꼬리수리,스토브 테일즈런너어미새를 따라 자연에서 살아남는 법을 배우게 됩니다.
