[디지털데일리 최천욱 기자] 가상화폐‘원투펀치’비트코인과 이더리움이 24일(현지시간)한때 6%대,피파 괴체5%대로 각각 떨어졌다.
미 가상화폐 거래소 코인베이스에 따르면 미 동부시간 기준 이날 오후 2시 22분(서부 시간 오전 11시 22분) 시총 1위 비트코인 1개 가격이 하루 전과 비교해 6.17% 급락한 6만101달러(한화 8330만원)에 거래됐고 한때 5만9780만달러대까지 떨어지며 6만 달러선이 붕괴됐다.이는 5월 초 이후 50일 만이다.같은 시간 시총 2위 이더리움 또한 5.45% 떨어지면서 3283달러(한화 455만원)를 기록했다.
비트코인의 하락 배경에는 올해 미국의 기준금리 인하 횟수가 줄어들 수 있다는 전망 때문이라는 분석이다.
비트코인은 지난 12일 오전에는 7만 달러선에서 거래되기도 했는데 5월 미 소비자 물가지수(CPI)상승률의 둔화 소식에 미 연방준비제도(연준)의 기준금리 인하에 대한 기대가 커져서다.하지만 이와 달리 연준이 금리를 동결하자,피파 괴체비트코인 가격이 하락세로 전환됐다.
