“아이오닉5 차지한 SW 인재들”…현대모비스,영등포 야구알고리즘 경진대회 성료 [사진제공=현대모비스]현대모비스는‘2024 현대모비스 알고리즘 경진대회’가 지원자 3784명을 기록하며 성황리에 개최됐다고 8일 밝혔다.

현대모비스 알고리즘 경진대회는 총 4종류의 프로그래밍 언어(C,영등포 야구C++,영등포 야구JAVA,Python)를 사용해 제한된 시간 내에 문제를 풀고,소스코드를 제출하는 방식의 대회다.SW 개발 저변 확대와 모빌리티 소프트웨어(SW) 인재 발굴 취지로 기획됐다.지난 5일 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 개최된 현대모비스 알고리즘 경진대회 본선에는 100명의 참가자가 열띤 경쟁을 펼쳤다.

본선 결과 금상(1등)에게 최신형 전기차,영등포 야구은상과 동상에게 각각 1000만원과 500만원의 상금을 수여했고,영등포 야구우수한 성적을 거둔 참가자들에게도 다양한 부상과 특전이 주어졌다.학생부에서는 강태규(서울대 컴퓨터공학과) 씨,일반부 이상엽(서울대 통계학과 졸업) 씨가 각각 1위에 올라 각각 현대자동차 전기차‘아이오닉5’를 차지했다.

현대모비스 관계자는 “자율주행,영등포 야구전동화,커넥티비티 등으로 상징되는 미래 모빌리티 시장 경쟁력의 핵심은 SW 개발 역량과 직결된다”면서 “현대모비스는 SW 중심‘모빌리티 플랫폼 프로바이더’로의 전환에 발맞춰 알고리즘 경진대회를 포함한 다양한 채용 연계 캠페인을 전개,SW 우수 인재 확보에 총력을 기울일 것”이라고 전했다.
