[세종=뉴시스]이승주 기자 = 산업통상자원부는 미국·일본과 3국의 경제 안보를 강화하기 위해 반도체·핵심광물의 공급망 구축 등에 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다고 27일 밝혔다.

안덕근 산업부 장관은 26일(현지시각) 워싱턴DC에서 지나 러몬도 미 상무장관,아시안컵 쿠팡 중계 일정사이토 겐 일본 경산대신과 1차 한미일 산업장관회의를 개최했다.

이번 회의는 지난해 8월 캠프 데이비드에서 한미일 정산 간 합의에 따른 후속조치다.3국 산업장관은 첫 3자 회의에서 핵심기술 발전을 촉진하고 3국의 경제안보를 강화하는 방안 등을 논의했다.

공급망 협력 확대를 포함 ▲첨단기술 보호와 수출통제에 공조하고 ▲인공지능(AI) 등 첨단산업 기술관련 공동연구를 증진하며 ▲청정에너지 분야에서 협력을 강화하고 ▲인도태평양경제프레임워크(IPEF)에서 협력하는 방안에 공감대를 형성했다.이 같은 협력 의지를 담은 공동선언문을 채택했다.

안 장관은 "한미일 3국은 첨단기술과 기술혁신을 선도하는 최적의 협력 파트너이자 글로벌 공급망 위기를 함께 극복할 동반자"라며 "향후 한미일 산업장관회의가 3국의 산업협력을 발전시키고 굴로벌 리스크에 대응하는 제도적 기반이 될 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.
