쌍방울 대북송금에 관여한 혐의로 수원지법에서 재판을 앞둔 이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표가 다른 세 건의 재판이 진행 중인 서울에서 재판을 함께 받게 해달라는 신청서를 제출했습니다.
단순히 서울보다 수원이 멀어서만은 아니라는 해석이 나옵니다.

이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표 측은 자신의 재판과 관련한 '토지관할의 병합심리 신청서'를 대법원에 냈습니다.

토지관할이 다른 사건이 각각 다른 법원에 있으면 1개의 법원에서 묶어서 심리할 수 있는데,프로야구 우승 상금이미 3개의 재판이 진행 중인 서울중앙지법에서 모든 재판을 받겠다는 뜻입니다.

대법원이 신청을 받아들이면 수원지법에 배당된 쌍방울 대북송금사건을 서울중앙지법에서의 새로운 재판부가 맡게 됩니다.

일각에선 같은 혐의를 받는 이화영 전 경기도 평화부지사에게 1심에서 유죄를 선고한 수원지법 재판부를 바꾸려는 전략이라는 분석도 나옵니다.

- "이런 방식을 통해서 별로 본인에게 우호적이지 아니한 재판부를 회피하는,프로야구 우승 상금일종의 우회 전략 그런 걸로 볼 수도 있겠죠."

이 전 대표로서는 또 재판이 그만큼 늦춰지는 효과도 기대할 수 있습니다.

검찰은 수원지법이 대북송금 사건을 오랫동안 살펴봤다는 점을 근거로 병합을 반대할 것으로 보입니다.
