13일(현지시간) 구글은 AI 비서인 '제미나이 라이브'를 출시한다고 밝혔다.제미나이는 구글 앱이나 도구와 결합해 다양한 작업을 지원한다.기존 음성 AI 서비스와 달리 앱이나 서비스를 옮겨다니지 않고 제미나이에 요청하기만 하면 된다.

예를 들어 저녁 파티를 준비할 때 제미나이에게 지메일에서 친구에게 받은 라자냐 레시피를 찾아 필요한 재료를 구글 킵 쇼핑 목록에 추가해 달라고 요구할 수 있다.조만간 출시될 캘린더 확장 기능을 사용하면 마트 전단지 사진을 찍고 제미나이에게 품목별 할인 일정을 알려달라고 요청할 수 있다.

손을 사용하지 않아도 되는 핸즈프리 기능을 지원한다.통화 기능처럼 제미나이 앱을 실행할 수 있고 휴대전화 잠금 상태에서도 대화할 수 있다.

제미나이는 안드로이드 이용자 환경에 통합돼 문맥을 이해하고 이용자가 필요한 순간에 바로 도움을 제공한다고 구글은 설명했다.전원을 길게 누르거나 '헤이(Hey) 구글'이라고 말하면 제미나이가 나타나 도움을 주고 이미지나 시청 중인 동영상에 대해 질문할 수 있다.

제미나이 라이브는 '제미나이 어드밴스드' 구독자만 사용할 수 있다.삼성전자 갤럭시 스마트폰을 포함한 모든 안드로이드 스마트폰에서 제미나이 앱을 다운받고 제미나이 어드밴스드를 구독해야 한다.구독료는 월 19.99달러(약 2만7400원)다.당장은 영어로만 작동하고 몇주 안에 언어 지원을 추가할 예정이다.
