철도의 날 기념식

(서울=연합뉴스) 임성호 기자 = 국토교통부는 오는 28일 서울 중구 웨스틴조선호텔에서 '철도의 날' 기념식을 연다고 27일 밝혔다.

올해 철도의 날 기념식은 '빛나는 대한민국 철도,야구 드래프트 최강야구국민과 함께하는 힘찬 도약'을 주제로 열린다.

1894년 조선 철도국 창설을 시작으로 올해 130주년을 맞은 한국 철도의 역사를 기념하는 행사다.올해는 1974년 첫 도시철도인 서울 지하철 1호선 개통 50주년,야구 드래프트 최강야구KTX 개통 20주년,야구 드래프트 최강야구수도권 광역급행철도(GTX) 개통 원년이기도 하다.

기념식에는 박상우 국토부 장관을 비롯해 이성해 한국철도협회 회장(국가철도공단 이사장),야구 드래프트 최강야구한문희 한국철도공사(코레일) 사장,이종국 에스알(SR) 대표이사 등 철도업계 대표 관계자 약 400여명이 참석할 예정이다.

이 자리에서는 철도산업 발전에 기여한 유공자 157명에게 정부포상(12명) 및 국토부 장관 표창(145명)을 수여한다.

철탑산업훈장은 철도 기술개발 및 해외 시장 개척을 이끈 공로를 인정받은 신우이엔지 송재호 회장이 받는다.

박상우 장관은 "단순한 운송 수단을 넘어 관광,야구 드래프트 최강야구예술 등 연계 산업과의 융복합을 통해 철도 산업의 영역을 확대해 달라"며 "순수 우리 기술로 제작한 고속철도차량을 최초로 수출한 것을 발판으로 K-철도의 글로벌 진출을 적극 지원할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
