(서울=연합뉴스) 신선미 기자 = 한우 생산자들로 구성된 전국한우협회는 지난 5일 열린 15명으로 구성된 회장단 회의에서 만장일치로 다음 달 초 집회를 열기로 결정했다고 10일 밝혔다.

한우협회는 사료비 등 생산비는 증가했으나 한우 가격이 하락해 농가 생활이 어려워지고 있다며 정부와 국회 등에 지원을 촉구하고자 집회를 열기로 했다고 설명했다.

협회 측은 집회 장소를 놓고 검토 중이나 한우 반납 퍼포먼스는 국회 앞에서 이뤄질 가능성이 큰 것으로 알려졌다.

통계청 지난해 축산물생산비조사 결과에 따르면 한우 비육우(고기 생산을 위해 기르는 소)의 마리당 순손실은 142만6천원으로 1년 전보다 73만6천원(106.8%) 증가했다.한우 번식우(새끼를 낳기 위해 기르는 소)의 순손실 폭 역시 2022년 40만9천원에서 지난해 127만6천원으로 커졌다.

협회는 지난 2012년 1월에도 한우 가격 폭락에 따라 대규모 집회를 열었다.
