미국의 유명 싱어송라이터 아이잭 헤이스의 유족들이 미국 공화당 대선 후보인 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령과 그의 대선 캠프를 상대로 저작권 위반 소송을 제기했다.그는 1972년 오스카상과 그래미상을 받은,컷슬린인젝션미국 소울 가수다.

11일(현지시간) 현지 정치전문매체 더힐에 따르면 헤이스의 유족들은 트럼프 전 대통령 캠프가 대선 유세 등 집회에서 헤이스가 만든 노래를 허락 없이 사용했다고 주장하며 300만달러(약 41억원)을 배상하라는 소송을 제기했다.

유족들은 소장에서 “거듭된 요청에도 불구하고 반복적으로 유세 현장에서 허가 없이 곡을 사용했다”며 해당 곡이 포함된 모든 영상을 삭제하고 사과문을 발표하라고 요구했다.

트럼프 전 대통령 캠프의 음악 무단 사용 논란은 이번이 처음이 아니다.앞서 팝스타 셀린 디옹은 트럼프 전 대통령 측이 유세에서 사용한 영화‘타이태닉’에 삽입된 노래의 사용을 승인하거나 지지한 바 없다고 비판한 바 있다.
