지난 2022년 3월 프랑스 툴롱에서 진행한 MSPAR 수리모형실험 모습.[사진 출처 = 대우건설]대우건설은 네덜란드 해상풍력 기업인 모노베이스윈드(Monobasewind,슬롯왕com이하 MBW)사와 공동으로 개발한 15MW급 부유식 해상풍력 모델이 국제인증기관인 노르웨이선급(DNV)로부터 개념설계에 대한 기본승인(AiP)를 획득했다고 14일 밝혔다.

대우건설은 지난 2021년 11월 MBW사와 부유식 해상풍력 모델 공동개발을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.이듬해 3월에는 수리모형실험을 완료해 지난해 9월 국제특허를 취득했다.

부유식 해상풍력은 고정식 해상풍력과 달리 육지에서 상부구조물까지 제작한 후 운송과 설치가 가능하다.시스템에 작용하는 하중이 작아 기존 고정식 해상풍력 발전기를 그대로 사용할 수 있다.

특히,슬롯왕com이번에 개발한‘승강형 스파식 부유체’(MSPAR)는 태풍 등 동해 해상의 극한 환경조건인 최대 풍속 61m/s,최대파고 11.5m에서도 부유체의 안정성을 확보할 수 있도록 설계됐다.

MSPAR는 콘크리트와 강재를 혼합한 하이브리드 재료를 사용해 경제성과 효율성 역시 높였다.MSPAR는 각각의 단계에 따라 다른 형태를 띠게 되는데 조립 및 운송 단계에서는 발라스트가 상승된 반잠수식(Semi-submersible) 형태로,설치 및 운영 단계에서는 발라스트가 하강된 안정적인 스파(Spar) 형태의 모습을 갖추고 전기를 생산한다.

이번 승인으로 대우건선은 울산 부유식 풍력 프로젝트 입찰자격을 확보하게 됐다.

대우건설은 “날로 중요성이 더해가는 신재생 에너지 분야의 기술 개발 및 사업 참여에 적극적으로 나설 것”이라고 전했다.
