현직 대전시의회 의원이 지난 총선 후보 캠프에서 일하던 여성을 여러 차례 성추행한 혐의로 고소당해 경찰이 수사에 나섰습니다.

대전 대덕경찰서에 고소장이 접수된 국민의힘 소속 대전시의회 A 의원은 지난 2월 총선 후보 캠프에서 일하던 여성 직원의 신체 일부를 만지고 손을 잡는 등 상습적으로 성추행한 혐의를 받습니다.

경찰은 피해자 조사를 마친 뒤 A 의원을 불러 사실관계를 확인할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

A 의원은 지난해에도 대전시의회 직원을 성희롱해 국민의힘 대전시당으로부터 당원권 정지 1개월 징계를 받았습니다.

국민의힘 대전시당은 윤리위원회를 열어 해당 의원 징계 절차에 나섰고,복권 1등 건물주해당 사건에 대해 진심으로 유감을 표하고 시민께 사죄의 말씀을 드린다는 성명을 냈습니다.

해당 의원은 입장을 묻는 취재진의 전화와 문자에 별다른 답을 하지 않았습니다.
