강제추행 혐의로 불구속 기소된 강서경찰서 소속 경위 김모(52)씨는 전날(25일) 사건을 심리한 서울남부지법에 항소장을 제출한 것으로 26일 확인됐다.

앞서 지난 21일 서울남부지법 형사11단독 정성화 판사는 김씨에게 그에게 징역 6월형을 선고하고 40시간의 성폭력 치료 프로그램 이수를 명했다.

당시 정 판사는 "경찰 공무원으로서 사건 관계인인 피해자를 사적으로 만나 피해자가 형사사건 합의금을 받은 것을 언급하며 향응을 요구하고,스포츠 스코어성희롱 발언을 하는 와중에 강제추행을 한 것으로 죄질이 매우 불량하다"고 질타한 바 있다.

김씨는 강서경찰서 소속 경위로 근무하던 지난 2022년 말 자신이 처리했던 사건 피의자의 어머니 A씨를 사적으로 만나 손,스포츠 스코어발 등을 만지고 성관계를 요구한 혐의를 받는다.

그에겐 A씨가 '성적 수치심을 느꼈다'는 취지의 문자메시지를 보내자 이를 무마하기 위해 금전적 회유를 하려 했다는 의혹도 제기됐다.

이후 A씨가 지난해 1월 김 경위를 서울남부지검에 고소했고,스포츠 스코어내용을 파악한 강서경찰서는 같은 달 그를 대기발령하고 직무에서 배제했다.서울경찰청도 김씨에 대한 감찰 조사를 진행했다.
