'제2의 서이초 사건'으로 논란됐던 대전 용산초등학교 교사 사망 사건과 관련,차량 파워뱅크교사에게 지속적인 민원을 제기한 학부모 등이 경찰로부터 무혐의 판단을 받았다.

26일 대전경찰청에 따르면 경찰은 대전 초등교사 A 씨 사망 사건 관련 학부모 8명과 대전 관평초 전 교장,차량 파워뱅크교감 등 10명에 대해 혐의점이 없다고 판단해 불송치를 결정,차량 파워뱅크사건을 종결했다.

A 씨는 2019년 대전 유성구의 한 초등학교에서 근무하던 중 친구를 폭행한 학생을 교장실에 보냈다는 이유 등으로 해당 학부모로부터 아동학대 고소를 당했다.이 과정에서 학교 관리자 등이 교권 침해에 소극 대응으로 일관했다는 의혹을 받았다.

A 씨는 검찰 조사 결과 무혐의 처분을 받았음에도 수년간 학부모들로부터 악성 민원에 시달리다 지난해 9월 극단적 선택으로 숨졌다.

대전교육청은 해당 사실을 파악하고 공무집행방해 등 혐의로 학부모들에 대해 수사 의뢰했다.A 씨 가족들도 학교 관계자와 학부모를 경찰에 고발해 수사가 진행됐다.

경찰은 "학부모들이 이 교사에게 지속 연락해 괴롭힘 등 업무방해를 했다는 의혹에 대한 구속 요건을 충족할 만한 혐의가 없었다"면서 "고인과 학부모들의 휴대전화 포렌식도 진행했으나,차량 파워뱅크협박·강요 정황이나 범죄 혐의점을 발견하지 못했다"고 했다.

또 직권남용 및 직무 유기 혐의를 받는 교장·교감도 경찰이 범죄 혐의점을 발견하지 못하면서 불송치됐다.
