대전 중구 일대에서 소화기를 뿌리고 난폭운전을 하는 등 교통상의 위험을 발생시킨 일당 10명이 불구속 송치됐다.

27일 대전경찰청에 따르면 경찰은 지난 14일 도로교통법(공동 위험 행위,난폭운전),2024년 4월 20일 라리가 경기일정자동차 관리법 위반 혐의를 받는 A(10대) 군 등 10명을 불구속 송치했다.

A 군 등 10명은 지난 3월 20일 오전 2시 5분쯤부터 약 1시간 동안 대전 중구 일대에서 도로에 소화기를 뿌리는 등의 혐의를 받는다.

이들 중 일부는 오토바이를 타고 신호위반을 하거나 중앙선 침범 등의 행위를 반복했다.또 일부는 차량으로 드리프트를 하는 등의 위험한 행위를 일삼았다.

아울러 경찰의 추적을 피하기 위해 헬멧을 쓴 상태로 오토바이 번호판을 떼어내거나 가리고 운행했다.

경찰은 오토바이 운전자 1명을 현행범으로 체포,대전청 교통범죄수사팀을 '수사전담팀'으로 지정해 수사했다.

피의자들은 사건 당일 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 올라온 폭주 공지글을 보고 청주,2024년 4월 20일 라리가 경기일정전주 등 타지에서 온 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰 관계자는 "SNS상 폭주 공지글 등을 예의주시해 유사 행위를 조기 발견·예방하겠다"며 "오토바이 집단 폭주 행위는 도로교통법을 위반하는 불법행위"라고 강조했다.
