카카오페이가 중국 알리페이에 지난 6년여간 개인신용정보 542억 건을 고객 동의 없이 제공하다 금융당국에 적발된 가운데,레스터 우승개인정보보호위원회는 법 위반 여부를 조사하기 위해 카카오페이 측에 자료 제출을 요구할 예정입니다.

개인정보보호위원회는 오늘(13일) 자료를 내고 “개인정보보호법상 개인정보 국외 이전 의무 준수와 관련한 사실관계 확인을 위하여 카카오페이 등에 자료제출을 요구할 계획”이라고 밝혔습니다.

그러면서 “필요시 금융감독원 등 관계기관과 협조 예정”이라고 덧붙였습니다.

개보위는 다만,“조사 착수 여부는 사업자들이 제출한 자료에 대한 면밀한 검토 등을 거쳐 결정할 예정”이라고 설명했습니다.
