JW중외제약 공익재단인 JW이종호재단은 장애 미술 작가들을 대상으로 '2024 JW 아트어워즈'를 개최한다고 15일 밝혔다.

올해로 10회를 맞은 'JW 아트어워즈'는 국내 기업이 주최하는 최초의 장애인 미술 공모전이다.고 이종호 JW중외제약 명예회장이 제시한 '장애인도 문화예술 활동을 통해 사회를 밝게 만드는 존재'라는 신념 아래 2015년에 이 공모전을 만들었다.총상금 규모는 국내 장애인 미술 공모전 중 가장 큰 수준이다.

이번 공모전은 '너와 나,우리의 세상은'을 주제로 진행된다.이 주제는 장애 작가와 세상의 연결 및 공감을 강조하는 슬로건으로,장애와 비장애의 경계를 넘어 사회의 일원으로서 다양성을 존중하고 포용하자는 의미를 뜻한다.

'2024 JW 아트어워즈' 참가 자격은 만 16세 이상의 '장애인복지법' 제2조 및 시행령 제2조규정에 따른 장애인이다.한국화와 서양화 등 순수미술 분야의 작품을 대상으로 하며,'너와 나,롤 프로 전적우리의 세상은'을 주제로 올해 창작한 작품에 한해 응모할 수 있다.

참가를 희망하는 작가는 오는 8월 30일까지 JW이종호재단 홈페이지를 통해 출품신청서와 작품 이미지를 접수하면 된다.출품료는 별도로 없으며 1차 통과자를 대상으로 본 작품을 선정해 2차 심사가 진행될 예정이다.

최종 수상자는 10월 중 공모전 홈페이지를 통해 발표된다.대상 1명(상금 500만원),최우수상 2명(각 300만원),우수상 2명(각 200만원),롤 프로 전적장려상 2명(각 100만원),롤 프로 전적입선 20명(각 30만원)을 선정한다.
