(세종=뉴스1) 엄기찬 기자 = 세종시는 일부 지역에서만 운영하던 수요응답형 교통수단(DRT)인 '이응버스'를 모든 지역으로 확대해 운영한다고 1일 밝혔다.

그동안은 1·2생활권에서만 운영했으나 이날부터 모든 생활권으로 확대했다.이름도 '셔클'에서 '이동에 응답하는 버스'라는 의미로 '이응버스'로 바꿨다.

이응버스는 인공지능을 활용해 승객 수요에 맞춰 실시간으로 최적의 경로를 만들어 운행한다.승하차는 간선급행버스체계와 버스정류장을 중심으로 이뤄진다.

세종시 통합교통플랫폼 '이응' 앱으로 호출은 물론 결제까지 할 수 있다.요금은 성인 기준 1800원으로 오전 6시부터 밤 12시까지 운영한다.

이날 시승 행사에 참석한 최민호 시장은 "대중교통 사각지대를 해소하고,몬헌 라이즈 호석 슬롯효율적인 지·간선 체계를 구축하는 등 대중교통 혁신의 계기가 될 것"이라고 말했다.
