(대전=연합뉴스) 강수환 기자 = 미성년자를 포함한 성 착취물을 제작하고 자신이 운영하는 음란사이트에 이를 배포한 사이트 운영자가 5년 만에 에콰도르에서 붙잡혔다.

24일 수사 당국에 따르면 아동·청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률 위반 및 정보통신망법 위반 등 혐의로 적색 수배가 내려졌던 한국 국적의 A(50대)씨가 지난 18일 에콰도르에서 현지 경찰에 붙잡혔다.

2005년부터 에콰도르에 정착한 A씨는 지난 2017년 8월부터 2019년 7월까지 국내 이용자들을 대상으로 음란사이트를 운영하며 불법 음란물을 제작·배포한 혐의를 받는다.

A씨 외 4명의 공범은 수사 착수 1년여만에 모두 검거됐지만 총책인 A씨는 적색 수배가 내려졌음에도 5년간 붙잡히지 않았다.

이 사건을 수사하는 대전경찰청 사이버수사대는 국내로 송환되는 대로 A씨에 대한 조사를 이어 나갈 예정이다.
