(포항=뉴스1) 최창호 기자 = 포항북부경찰서는 26일 골프장 회원권 사기 사건에 대해 수사를 벌이고 있다고 밝혔다.

경찰에 따르면 포항시 북구에 있는 모 골프장에서 '회원관리부장'이라고 자칭한 50대 A 씨가 회원권 대금을 챙겨 잠적했다는 고소장이 접수됐다.

한 피해자는 "현재까지 피해를 입은 회원이 10여명으로 추정된다"며 "회원권이 3억~4억 원에 거래되는 점을 감안하면 피해액이 30억 원 이상 될 것 같다"고 말했다.

해당 골프장 관계자는 "'회원관리부장'이라고 자칭한 사람은 정식 직원이 아닌 개인사업자인 것으로 확인됐다.정확한 피해 규모에 대해서는 답변이 어렵다"고 말했다.

경찰 관계자는 "A 씨의 신병을 확보해 사실 관계를 조사할 방침"이라고 말했다.
