KT가 그룹 브랜드 이미지 제고와 사내 안전·보건 관리를 강화하는 방향으로 조직 개편을 1일 단행했다.신동훈 전 엔씨소프트 AI테크센터장은 기술혁신부문 AI2X Lab AI코어기술담당으로 영입됐다.

KT는 이날 브랜드 전략실장과 최고경영자(CEO) 직속 안전·보건 총괄을 신설하는 내용의 조직 개편을 했다.신설된 김영섭 대표 직속 안전·보건 총괄은 임현규 경영지원부문장(부사장)이 겸직한다.

또 신설된 브랜드 전략 실장은 윤태식 브랜드 커뮤니케이션 담당(상무)이 맡게 됐다.경영지원부문 소속 브랜드 전략실은 그룹의 브랜드 및 기업 이미지(BI·CI) 전략을 수립하는 등 계열사를 포함한 그룹 전체의 이미지 제고를 담당할 것으로 보인다.

KT는 기존 AI 담당 조직 AI2XLab 산하‘AI 코어 기술 담당’에 엔씨소프트 AI 테크 센터장이었던 신동훈 상무를 영입했다.

업계 관계자는 “임원 수십 명 교체 등이 거론되던 것과 달리 비교적 소폭 인사로 마무리됐다”면서 “브랜드 전략과 안전·보건 업무 조직이 커진 것으로 보면 된다.AI로 대표되는 기술 혁신 부문도 강화한 것”이라고 말했다.
