소폭 조직개편…브랜드전략실·안전보건총괄도 신설

(서울=뉴스1) 양새롬 기자 = KT(030200)가 인공지능(AI) 등 역량을 강화하고 신속하게 대응하기 위해 외부 인사를 영입하는 등 소폭 조직개편을 단행했다.

1일 업계에 따르면 KT는 이날 기술혁신부문 AI2XLab AI 코어 기술 담당에 신동훈 상무를 임명했다.신 상무는 엔씨소프트에서 AI 테크 센터장을 지낸 전문가다.

또 KT는 그룹 차원에서 브랜드 이미지(BI)와 기업 이미지(CI) 체계를 적립하고 그룹 시너지를 강화하기 위해 브랜드 전략실을 신설했다.

브랜드 전략실장은 브랜드커뮤니케이션 담당인 윤태식 상무가 보임한다.

아울러 전사의 안전보건을 관리하는 안전보건총괄 조직도 최고경영자(CEO) 직속으로 신설했다.

안전보건총괄은 임현규 경영지원부문장(부사장)이 겸직한다.

당초 이번 조직 개편에선 미디어 조직 확대와 핵심 임원 교체 등이 거론됐으나 예상과 달리 소폭으로 정리됐다.

이와 관련 KT 관계자는 "안전보건과 브랜드 전략 모두 기존에 있던 조직"이라며 "조직 경쟁력 강화를 위해 일부 개선한 것"이라고 설명했다.
