(서울=연합뉴스) 임성호 기자 = 일본 구마모토발 인천행 티웨이항공 여객기가 기체 이상으로 약 4시간 지연돼 승객들이 불편을 겪었다.

18일 티웨이항공에 따르면 전날 오전 10시 25분 구마모토 공항에서 승객 147명을 태우고 인천국제공항으로 향할 예정이던 TW276(B737-800)편 항공기가 이륙 준비 과정에서 점검이 필요한 부분이 발견됐다.

이에 티웨이항공은 같은 기종의 대체기를 구마모토 공항에 보냈다.

승객들을 태운 대체기는 당초 출발 시간보다 4시간 5분 늦어진 오후 2시 30분에 이륙했다.

티웨이항공 관계자는 "승객들에게 지연 안내 및 식음료 제공하고 빠르게 대체기 투입을 결정해 승객 불편을 최소화하도록 노력했다"고 말했다.

티웨이항공에서는 지난 14일 인천발 오사카행 TW283편이 11시간 늦어진 것을 비롯해 지난 일주일 사이 알려진 것만 5편의 지연이 발생했다.
