정부가 의대 증원 정책에 반발해 집단이탈한 전공의들에 대해 면허정지 등의 행정처분을 하지 않기로 했습니다.

조규홍 보건복지부 장관은 오늘(8일) 오후에 열린 의사 집단행동 중앙재난안전대책본부 회의에서 "오늘부로 모든 전공의에 대해 복귀 여부에 상관없이 행정처분을 하지 않기로 결정했다"고 밝혔습니다.

그러면서 "복귀한 전공의와 사직 후 올해 9월 수련에 재응시하는 전공의에 대해서는 수련 특례를 적용하겠다"며 "수련 공백을 최소화하면서 전문의 자격 취득 시기가 늦어지지 않도록 상황에 맞춰 특례를 마련하겠다"고 말했습니다.

오늘 결정에 대해 조 장관은 "중증·응급환자의 진료 공백을 최소화하고,링크다모아전문의가 제때 배출될 수 있도록 수련체계의 연속성을 유지하는 것이 공익에 부합한다는 판단으로 내린 정부의 결단"이라고 설명했습니다.

이어 9월로 예정된 각 수련병원의 전공의 모집에 대해서는 "결원이 생긴 모든 과목을 대상으로 모집이 이루어질 예정"이라며 수련병원에 오는 15일까지 미복귀 전공의에 대한 사직 처리를 완료하고 결원을 확정해 줄 것을 요청했습니다.
