[서울=뉴시스]이지용 기자 = 삼성이 '삼성청년 SW아카데미(SSAFY)'의 교육 기회를 고등학교를 졸업한 청년들에게도 제공한다.

삼성은 오는 10월 모집을 시작하는 SSAFY 13기부터 대학교 졸업자 뿐만 아니라 마이스터고등학교 졸업생 출신의 교육생을 모집한다고 25일 밝혔다.

더 다양한 배경의 청년들이 SSAFY를 통해 체계적인 소프트웨어(SW) 교육을 받을 수 있도록 교육 기회를 확대하고 사회적 격차 해소에도 기여하겠다는 취지다.

SSAFY는 삼성이 지난 2018년 발표한 '경제 활성화와 일자리 창출 방안'의 일환으로,검 도박국내 IT 생태계 저변을 확대하고 청년 취업 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 시작한 사회공헌(CSR) 프로그램이다.

프로그램에 선정된 마이스터고 출신 교육생들은 내년 1월에 시작하는 SSAFY 13기부터 입과해 교육을 받는다.교육은 SSAFY 서울캠퍼스에서 진행한다.교육생들의 취업 경쟁력 강화와 산업 현장의 SW 인력난 해소에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

삼성은 마이스터고 졸업생 등 교육 현장의 요구,검 도박SSAFY 교육 기간의 성과,검 도박산업 현장의 인재 수요 등을 고려해 선발 인원을 결정할 예정이다.

마이스터고 교장 등 교육 현장의 다양한 관계자들은 3년간 이공계 지식과 기술을 학습한 마이스터고 학생들에게도 SW 교육 기회가 주어진다면 성과가 클 것이라며 'SSAFY 문호 확대'의 필요성을 제기했다.삼성은 이 같은 사회적 수요에 응답,교육 대상자를 확대하기로 했다.
