대전은 올 1월부터 만 19-39세 신혼부부를 대상으로 최대 500만 원의 결혼 일시 장려금을 지원하는 등 지자체 차원의 결혼 인센티브 마련에 적극적인 대표적인 지자체로 꼽힌다.

4월 혼인 건수 증가율 2위 지자체는 대구(37.6%)였다.대구도 결혼 7년 이내 신혼부부에게 최대 연 320만 원의 전세 대출 이자 상환액 지원 등 파격적 결혼 지원책을 마련했다.

이어 울산(34.3%),카지노 아바타게임경북(28.5%),서울(27.9%) 등의 순으로 높은 혼인 건수 증가율을 보였다.

반면 지난 4월 출생아 수는 1만 9049명으로 지난해보다 521명(2.8%) 늘어난 데 비해 대전에서는 1년 전(604명)보다 32명 줄어든 572명으로 집계됐다.다만 혼인 증가분을 고려할 때 올해 하반기 출생아 수가 늘어날 가능성도 점쳐진다.

대전시 관계자는 "아직 결혼장려금 관련 예산이 확보되진 않았다"며 "지급 대상자를 내년 1월 1일 이후 결혼하는 부부에서 올 1월 1일 이후 결혼하는 부부로 앞당겼는데 차후 장려금을 받기 위해 혼인신고를 마친 부부가 늘어난 것으로 보인다"고 설명했다.
