세계 최초로 달 뒷면 샘플을 채취한 중국 우주탐사선 '창어(嫦娥·달의 여신 항아) 6호'가 53일 동안의 임무를 마치고 지구로 복귀했습니다.

중국중앙TV(CCTV)는 생중계를 통해 창어 6호가 현지시간 25일 오후 2시 7분께 중국 북부 네이멍구자치구 쓰쯔왕기 착륙장에 착륙했다고 보도했습니다.

CCTV는 "창어 6호 귀환선은 25일 네이멍구 쓰쯔왕기의 예정 구역에 정확히 착륙했고 정상 작동했다"며 "달 탐사 프로젝트 창어 6호의 임무가 원만한 성공을 거뒀고 세계 최초로 달 뒷면 샘플을 채취해 귀환했음을 보여준다"고 전했습니다.

궤도선·착륙선·상승선·재진입모듈 등 크게 네 부분으로 구성된 창어 6호는 달 뒷면 토양·암석 등 2㎏의 샘플 채취를 목표로 지난달 3일 발사된 뒤 약 한 달 만인 이달 2일 목표 지점인 달 뒷면 '남극-에이킨 분지'에 착륙했습니다.

중국 국가항천국(국가우주국)에 따르면 이후 창어 6호는 2∼3일 해당 분지에서 토양 샘플을 채취·밀봉했고 달 뒷면을 촬영하는 등 표면 탐사에 나섰습니다.미리 싣고간 중국 국기 오성홍기를 달 뒷면에서 펼치기도 했습니다.

탐사를 마친 창어 6호 상승선은 4일 오전 달 뒷면을 이륙했으며,음바페 월드컵 해트트릭이후 달 궤도와 지구 궤도를 거쳐 이날 네이멍구 착륙장에 도착했습니다.

창어 6호가 가져온 달 뒷면 토양·암석 샘플은 과학자들이 달의 기원·구조를 파악하는 연구 자료로 활용됩니다.
