고인은 평범한 주부였던 고인은 2001년 여성환경연대 활동을 시작으로 20년 넘게 환경운동을 펼쳐왔다.여성환경연대 공동대표와 상임대표, 농부시장 마르쉐 이사장 등을 지냈다.서울 중랑구에서 시민사회단체인 동북여성환경연대 초록상상을 세우고 서울시마을법인협의회 대표,수원 월드컵 스포츠센터주민자치법개정전국네트워크 서울지역대표로 활동하며 풀뿌리 운동의 성장을 위해 헌신했다.

최근까지도 서울풀뿌리시민사회네트워크 공동대표,수원 월드컵 스포츠센터박영숙살림이재단 이사장,사단법인 마을 이사,수원 월드컵 스포츠센터한살림재단 이사,그물코협동조합 이사,중랑구 협치회의 공동의장 등으로 활약했다.

여성환경연대와 (사)중랑마을넷은 고인의 발자취를 기리기 위해 장례위원회를 구성해 '환경시민사회장'으로 진행한다.추모식은 4일 오후 7시 녹색병원 대강당에서 열린다.
