쌍방울그룹 대북송금 의혹을 받고 있는 이화영 전 경기도 부지사의 1심 선고 공판이 끝났습니다.

9년 6개월 징역형이 나왔는데요.

네,강원 랜드 바카라 룰1심 법원은 이화영 전 경기도 평화부지사에게 징역 9년 6개월에 벌금 2억 5천만 원을 선고했습니다.

이 전 부지사가 지난 2022년 10월 기소된 지 1년 8개월 만입니다.

재판부는 "장기간 뇌물과 정치자금을 아무런 문제의식 없이 지원받아 유력 정치인과 사기업 간
유착 관계를 형성했다"며 "그럼에도 수사부터 재판까지 반성하지 않고 혐의를 부인하고 있어 엄중 처벌이 불가피하다"고 양형 이유를 밝혔습니다.

쟁점이었던 대북 송금의 경우 재판부는 경기도가 북한에 지급하기로 한 스마트팜 사업비와 당시 경기도지사 방북비를 쌍방울이 대신 내줬다는 점은 인정했습니다.

다만 검찰이 공소사실에 적시한 8백만 달러 중 재판부가 해외로 밀반출된 불법자금으로 인정한 금액은 394만 달러입니다.

또,강원 랜드 바카라 룰뇌물수수와 정치자금법 위반과 관련해서도 대부분 유죄로 봤습니다.

다만,"이 전 부지사가 대북송금과 관련해 당시 도지사였던 이재명 더불어민주당 대표에게 직접 보고했느냐 여부는 이 사건과 무관하다"며 선을 그었습니다.

오늘 판결에 대해 이 전 부지사 측 변호사는 "재판부가 편파적으로 증거를 취사선택했다"며 항소의 뜻을 밝혔습니다.
