인천항만공사(IPA)가 최근 행정안전부의‘2024년 재난관리평가’에서 최고등급인‘우수’등급을 획득했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 행정안전부 재난관리평가는 재난관리 단계별(예방·대비·대응·복구) 역량을 진단하는 것으로,롯데마트 광주월드컵점중앙부처 29개,롯데마트 광주월드컵점공공기관 66개,롯데마트 광주월드컵점지자체 243개 등 총 338개 기관을 대상으로 실시됐다.

공공기관 도로·항공·항만 그룹에 포함된 IPA는 △기관장의 재난상황 대응역량 △재난안전분야 재정투자계획 확대 △취약분야 안전관리 강화 △재난 발생 시 신속한 초동조치 역량 등에서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

이경규 IPA 사장은 “안전한 인천항을 만들고자 하는 전 임직원의 노력한 결과가 우수등급으로 이어져 의미가 깊다”며 “앞으로 어떠한 재난 상황이 발생하더라도 흔들림 없는 대응태세를 갖출 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
