지난해 이어 2년 연속 선정돼경기도 오산시는 시가 운영하는 청년일자리지원센터 '이루잡'이 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 경기도가 선정하는 '우수 청년공간'으로 선정됐다고 10일 밝혔다.

2022년 2월 개관한 이루잡은 청년들의 취업역량 강화와 실질적 자립을 돕기 위한 프로그램과 청년 전용 복합공간을 운영하며 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 청년 맞춤형 공간이다.

이번 우수공간 선정은 경기도와 경기복지재단이 공모를 통해 현장 이용자 설문조사,야구 연고지 지도현장평가,우수 프로그램 발표의 과정을 거쳐 이뤄졌다.시는 우수 청년공간 선정으로 경기도로부터 사업비 4000만원을 지원받게 됐다.

시는 특히 이번 평가가 수요자인 청년들이 참여로 이뤄진 것이 특징이라고 설명했다.시에 따르면 이루잡은 운영기관의 열정,야구 연고지 지도공간 이용 활성화 및 청년 연령별 맞춤 프로그램 제공 등 소외되는 청년층이 없도록 시설을 운영한 점을 높게 평가받았다.지역 내 청년의 자립과 자존의 성장이라는 지향점을 내걸고 공간을 이용하는 청년들의 수요를 세심하게 파악하고 반영해 온 점도 선정의 배경으로 꼽힌다.

이권재 오산시장은 "앞으로도 적극적인 소통을 통해 청년들의 자립과 자존에 도움을 줄 수 있는 이루잡이 되도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
