[헤럴드경제=나은정 기자] 배우 이영애가 오는 15일 광복절을 맞아 일제강제동원피해자지원재단에 1억원을 기부했다.

14일 재단에 따르면 이영애는 전날 "나라를 되찾은 날을 생각하며 일제 강점기 강제 동원으로 희생되신 분들에게 써달라"며 1억원을 쾌척했다.

이영애는 "일제 강점기 강제 동원으로 피해를 당한 분들이 한 분이라도 더 살아 계실 때 보살피는 게 우리의 몫이라고 생각한다"고 밝힌 것으로 전해졌다.

행정안전부 산하의 이 재단은 일본 기업을 상대로 대법원 판결을 통해 승소한 강제 동원 피해자들에게 판결금과 지연이자를 지급해온 곳으로,여성청카바다양한 강제 동원 피해자 추모 사업을 맡고 있다.

6·25 참전 용사의 자녀인 이영애는 앞서 지난 6월에도 "국가를 위해 목숨 바쳐 헌신한 분들께 항상 감사하다.이들의 숭고한 희생을 기리고 기억하는 데 사용됐으면 좋겠다"며 천안함재단에 5000만원을 기부한 바 있다.

이밖에도 그는 K-9 자주포 폭발 사고로 순직한 군인의 자녀,여성청카바북한 목함지뢰 도발로 인한 피해 병사,여성청카바육군사관학교 등에 꾸준히 성금을 기부해 왔다.
