(부산=연합뉴스) 김상현 기자 = 부산과 일본 후쿠오카를 운항하는 쾌속여객선 퀸비틀호가 선체 누수 은폐로 갑자기 운항을 중지하면서 여행객들의 피해가 우려된다.

14일 부산항만공사와 부산해양수산청 등에 따르면 퀸비틀호를 운영하는 JR큐슈고속선은 자사 예약사이트 공지를 통해 13일부터 당분간 운항을 중지하고,운항스케줄을 발표하는 오는 11월 25일까지 신규 예약도 받지 않는다고 밝혔다.

JR큐슈고속선 측은 '지난해 7월 일본 국토교통성에 제출한 개선보고서를 제대로 이행하지 않았기 때문에 운항을 중지한다'고 설명했다.

JR큐슈고속선 측은 또 운행 재개 시기는 미정이며,다음 달 말까지 예약에 관해서는 순차적으로 취소 연락을 하고 있다고 밝혔다.

결제 완료된 운임은 수수료 없이 환불하고,로또 1등 당첨금 얼마여행 중지로 인해 발생하는 숙박시설 및 2차 교통편 취소 수수료와 대체 교통편 비용 등을 지원한다고 공지했다.

지원 규모는 오는 19일까지 예약 승객에게는 1인당 20만원,로또 1등 당첨금 얼마20일부터 다음 달 30일까지 예약 승객에게는 1인당 10만원이다.

문제는 갑작스러운 운항 중단으로 여름 휴가철 등에 맞춰 퀸비틀호를 예약했던 이용자들이다.

여행 일정이 촉박하거나 단체여행의 경우 일정 차질이 불가피하며,특히 다음 달 추석 연휴 예약한 여행객 등은 대체 교통편 확보가 불가능한 실정이다.

퀸비틀호는 정원 502명에 영업좌석 448석 규모로,로또 1등 당첨금 얼마이번 달 예약률은 한국과 일본을 합쳐 50∼60%에 달한다.

JR큐슈고속선은 일본 국토교통성 감사에서 선체 검사 관련 안전 대책을 확보할 것을 지적받고 개선보고서를 제출했으나,로또 1등 당첨금 얼마이후 선체 누수가 발생하고도 3개월간 그 사실을 숨긴 채 운항하다 다시 적발돼 운항 중단됐다.
