연간 1억 원을 버는 20대 이하 유튜버들이 2년 만에 2배 이상 늘어난 가운데 이들이 신고한 자료에는 개인 후원금 등이 포함되지 않아 과세 사각지대에 방치되고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

차규근 조국혁신당 의원실이 국세청에 제출한 자료에 의하면 2022년 1억 원 초과 수입을 신고한 20대 이하 유튜버·BJ(개인방송 진행자) 등 1인 미디어 창작자는 1324명이었다.이는 지난 2020년 528명과 비교해 약 2.5배 늘어난 것.

1억 원을 초과한 수입을 신고한 1인 미디어 창작자는 전체 3만 9366명 중 2781명으로 7% 수준이었다.

연령대별로 보면 20대 이하가 가장 많았고 30대(1071명),락 카페40대(273명),락 카페50대 이상(113명) 등 순이었다.

반면 전체의 80%에 해당하는 3만 1481명은 2500만 원 미만 수입을 신고했다.

이날 공개된 수입신고 자료에는 유튜버들이 방송 중에 개인 계좌를 노출하는 방식으로 받는 후원금은 포함되지 않았다.사실상 과세 사각지대에 방치된 셈이다.

구독자들이 후원금을 개인 계좌로 송금할 경우 거래 내역을 포착하는 것이 현실적으로 어렵다고 과세 당국은 설명한다.

차규근 의원은 "후원금으로 소득을 올리는 경우 현재로서는 이를 과세할 방법이 없다"라며 "국세청은 과세 사각지대가 발생하지 않도록 대응 방안을 강구해야 한다"고 말했다.
