스위스 당국 "피해는 경미…평화회의 관련성 있어"

(제네바=연합뉴스) 안희 특파원 = 스위스 니드발덴주 휴양지 뷔르겐슈톡에서 열리는 우크라이나 평화회의를 이틀 앞두고 주최국인 스위스 정부기관 등의 웹사이트가 사이버 공격을 받았다.

14일(현지시간) 스위스 국가사이버보안센터(NCSC)에 따르면 전날 스위스 연방정부의 주요 웹사이트와 세관 웹사이트 등이 분산서비스거부(DDoS·디도스) 공격을 받았다.

디도스 공격은 대량의 데이터를 한꺼번에 전송해 시스템 장애를 일으키는 사이버 공격 수법이다.

피해는 경미했다고 NCSC는 전했다.부처 웹사이트의 일부 서비스가 잠시 중단됐지만 대체로 1시간 내에 정상 작동을 재개했으며 조직 운영에도 영향을 크게 미치지 않았다고 NCSC는 설명했다.

스위스는 이번 사이버공격이 우크라이나 평화회의와 관련이 있다고 보고 있다.사이버 공격을 정치적 메시지로 삼으려는 세력이 이번 회의에 대한 반대를 표출하려고 범행했다는 것이다.

이 때문에 이번 사이버공격은 친러시아 성향 해커들의 소행일 것이라는 추정이 나온다.

러시아는 행사 주최국 스위스가 대러시아 경제제재에 동참하는 이상 중립국으로 볼 수 없고 우크라이나 평화회의 또한 의미가 없다면서 지난 4월 불참 의사를 표명했다.

이후 러시아는 이 회의가 미국 국무부가 만든 사기극이라는 등 비난성 논평도 지속해서 냈다.

볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령이 올해 1월 세계경제포럼(WEF) 연차총회가 열린 스위스 다보스를 다녀갔을 때도 러시아와 연계된 해커그룹의 정부 부처 웹사이트 사이버공격이 있었다.

당시 '노네임'(NoName)이라는 해커그룹이 젤렌스키 대통령의 스위스 방문이 공격 이유였다며 공격 주체를 자처했다.
