임기 3년…“전시 예술 현장경험한 전문가”

정용석 국립박물관문화재단 신임 사장.[사진 국립박물관문화재단][이코노미스트 송현주 기자] 문화체육관광부(이하 문체부)는 14일자로 국립박물관문화재단 사장에 정용석 씨를 임명한다고 밝혔다.신임 사장의 임기는 3년이다.

정용석 신임 사장은 한국예술전시기획사협회 회장,2024년 04월 10일 한화 두산지엔씨미디어 부사장,2024년 04월 10일 한화 두산한국미술저작권관리협회 부사장 등을 거쳐 다년간 전시 예술의 현장을 경험하며 전시기획의 전문성과 추진력을 갖춘 전문가로 평가받고 있다.

유인촌 장관은 ”국립박물관문화재단은 국민의 기대가 문화서비스의 양적 확대에서 질적 향상으로 바뀌고 있는 상황에 적극적으로 부응해야 한다“며 “신임 사장이 그간의 경험과 전문성을 바탕으로 박물관 콘텐츠 다양화와 서비스 질 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”라고 말했다.
