제45회 COSPAR 총회서 업무협약 체결

우주의학 생태계를 조성하고 있는 보령이 한국항공우주연구원과 손을 잡았다.

보령은 15일 부산 벡스코에서 열린 제45회 국제우주연구위원회(COSPAR) 총회에서 김정균 대표와 이상률 항우연 원장이 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 두 기관이 우주 환경시험과 연구를 활성화하고,2023 AFC 카타르 아시안컵 순위국가 우주산업 발전을 위한 다양한 과제를 공동으로 발굴하는 것을 목표로 한다.보령과 항우연은 앞으로 우주 시험 설비와 연구 경험 공유,2023 AFC 카타르 아시안컵 순위저궤도·심우주 탐사,2023 AFC 카타르 아시안컵 순위우주정거장 활용 등을 협력할 계획이다.

보령은 매년‘HIS(Humans In Space)’프로그램으로 우주의학 관련 기업과 기관,2023 AFC 카타르 아시안컵 순위전문가들과 파트너십을 맺고 있다.또 우주탐사를 위한 기술을 개발하는 스타트업과 연구자도 발굴해 지원한다.보령은 기존 네트워크를 기반으로 항우연과 함께 지속 가능한 우주 개발 기술 확보를 위해 협력을 강화할 예정이다.

김정균 보령 대표는 “한국이 우주 환경을 적극적으로 활용하고 우주산업을 활성화하는 중요한 계기가 돼 향후 저궤도 활동 확대의 시발점이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “이번 협약을 기반으로 한국이 우주 주권을 확보해가는 데에 이바지할 것”이라고 말했다.

이상률 원장은 “우주항공청의 최우선 목표는 우주 경제 실현으로 이해하고 있다”며 “항우연은 새롭게 우주산업에 진출하는 보령과 협력해 국가 우주 경제 발전에 이바지할 것”이라고 강조했다.
