중국판 유니클로로 알려진 패스트패션 업체 '쉬인(SHEIN)'이 다음 달 서울 성동구에서 첫 단독 팝업스토어를 연다.최근 한국시장 진출을 공식 선언한 이후 마케팅을 강화하기 위해서다.

30일 업계에 따르면 최근 쉬인은 한 판매직 전문 채용 플랫폼에 단기 팝업 스토어에서 일할 모델과 점장을 모집한다는 구인 공고를 올렸다.

공고에 따르면 쉬인 팝업스토어는 성수역 4번 출구 인근에서 다음 달 6∼14일 9일간 운영될 예정이다.직원들이 맡을 업무로는 매장관리,김갑주 패트리온고객 응대,판매,김갑주 패트리온재고관리,캐셔,김갑주 패트리온이벤트존 총괄 운영 등이 명시됐다.

이 팝업스토어에서는 쉬인 입점 제품 외에도 서브 브랜드인 데이지가 첫 글로벌 앰배서더 배우 김유정과 협업한 제품 등을 판매할 것으로 알려졌다.

'중국판 유니클로'라고도 불리는 쉬인은 저렴한 제품으로 미국과 유럽에서 큰 인기를 끌고 있다.같은 중국계 전자상거래 플랫폼 알리익스프레스,테무와 함께 묶어 '알테쉬'라는 신조어가 생겨나기도 했다.

쉬인은 2022년 12월 한국 법인을 설립했으며,지난 4월에는 한국 전용 홈페이지를 개설했다.
