(영암=연합뉴스) 조근영 기자 = 세계 헌혈의 날(6월 14일)을 앞두고 많은 헌혈을 통해 이웃사랑을 실천하는 해군 3함대 소속 3훈련대대의 여섯 부사관이 화제다.

13일 3함대에 따르면 3훈련대대 '헌혈 6총사'로 불리는 부사관은 김병창(47)·정용호(50)·배종근(50)·정후성(43),호빵맨 토토 먹튀곽효선(45) 원사와 김명랑(43) 상사다.

이들 6명이 지금까지 실시한 헌혈 횟수는 총 523회에 달한다.

김병창 원사와 정용호 원사는 각각 136회,호빵맨 토토 먹튀110회 헌혈을 하며 대한적십자사로부터 헌혈유공장 '명예장' 수여와 함께 대한적십자사 홈페이지 '명예의 전당'에도 이름을 올린 바 있다.

특히 김병창,호빵맨 토토 먹튀배종근 원사는 지금까지 모은 헌혈증서 210장을 수혈이 필요한 전우 가족들의 치료를 위해 기증했다.

정용호 원사도 헌혈증서 100매를 백혈병 소아암으로 투병 중인 어린이들을 위해 한국백혈병 소아암협회 제주지회에 기증하는 등 후배 부사관들을 이끄는 선배 부사관으로서 전우와 이웃을 따스하게 살피는 모범을 보여왔다.

3훈련대대 김병창 원사는 "작은 선의에서 비롯된 실천이 소중한 생명과 옆에 있는 전우의 가정에 보탬이 될 수 있다는 사실에 매우 큰 보람을 느낀다"고 말했다.

3함대는 매년 광주전남혈액원과 함께 '사랑의 헌혈운동'을 진행하며 올 한 해만 장병 및 군무원 287명이 헌혈에 동참했다.
